Xtra Time Web Desk: Newly appointed Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill, following Hardik Pandya's return to Mumbai Indians, engaged in a heated argument with the on-field umpire over a contentious wide call during an intense showdown against Rajasthan Royals on 10th April at the Sawai Mansingh stadium, Jaipur.
The altercation unfolded in the 17th over of the Royals' innings as Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson steered their team towards a formidable total.

Mohit Sharma, GT's key bowler, began the over poorly, conceding ten runs off his first five deliveries. However, it was his final delivery that sparked controversy. Attempting to evade Sanju Samson's onslaught, Mohit bowled wide outside the off stump, prompting the on-field umpire to signal a wide ball.
Despite Gill's dissatisfaction, who immediately sought a review, the Titans' hopes were dashed as the TV umpire upheld the original decision, ruling the delivery a wide. His visible frustration erupted into a heated exchange with the on-field umpire, as he firmly believed the delivery was legitimate.

A similar engagement of dispute with the on-field umpires during the match against Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, April 7. Nitin Menon, serving as the third umpire, rendered his decision without consulting ultra edge. Gill expressed dissatisfaction with the omission of ultra edge and voiced his displeasure to the umpires. Both Gill and Rahul Tewatia were observed disputing with the on-field umpires regarding the dismissal.
