Xtra Time Web Desk: The victory procession of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) remained uninterrupted. Despite winning two consecutive matches, the Knights failed to rise significantly in the points table. Bangalore (RCB) had to acknowledge defeat even after Virat Kohli's outstanding innings. Faf du Plessis led Bangalore to a loss of 7 wickets with his brilliant bowling alongside Sunil Narine and Venkatesh Iyer.

Winning the toss, Knight's captain Shreyas Iyer decided to bowl first. However, when 'King' Kohli takes the bat, it's a concern for any team. And that's what happened today. Kohli dominated the small ground of Bangalore, scoring an unbeaten innings of 83 runs off 59 balls, including 4 sixes and 4 fours. But despite his performance, none of Bangalore's batters, except Cameron Green (33), could stand by his side. Faf du Plessis (8), Rajat Patidar (3), and Anuj Rawat (3) all failed. In the end, thanks to Dinesh Karthik's 20 runs off 8 balls, Bangalore managed to score 182 runs.

Starting the batting, Phil Salt (30) and Sunil Narine (47) began destructively. Salt scored 18 runs in the first over by Mohammad Siraj, setting the tone for the match. Then came Narine's explosive innings. Once again, KKR sent him to open, and it paid off. He scored 47 runs off 22 balls, hitting 5 sixes and just 2 fours. The rest of the job was left to the two Ayers. Shreyas (39) and Venkatesh (50) successfully completed that task. Knight's team, following the footsteps of mentor Gambhir, won the match with an aggressive attitude.

Knight Riders have a great history at Bangalore's ground. Before this, they won 18 out of 32 matches. They have never lost in Chinnaswamy Stadium since 2015. The Knights still uphold that tradition with a strong force.
