Xtra Time Web Desk: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and India skipper Virat Kohli on Sunday chose to spare some time with Mumbai Indian’s young talent Ishan Kishan after the IPL 2021 clash at Dubai International Stadium. The wicketkeeper batsman from Jharkhand is recently going through some rough time in the ongoing IPL 2021. Ishan has so far struggled to make any impact at all with the bat in both the India and UAE leg. So far, this season, he has only scored 107 runs in eight innings at a disappointing average of 13.37.

The youngsters batting form in IPL 2020 saw him break into the white ball team for India. He made his T20 and ODI debut for India in the series against England and Sri Lanka. The yongster has also been included for the T20 World Cup squad. Ishan had finished the IPL 2020 season as the fifth-highest run-scorer with 516 runs at an impressive average and strike rate of 57.33 and 145.76. He scored the runs batting in different positions which earned him a lot of praise for his versatility.

However, the current IPL campaign has been a complete contrast to the glorious 2020 season for Kishan. With less than a month left for the World Cup, Ishan’s form is set to worry the Indian team management as well the selectors. Indian captain Virat Kohli is evidently concerned and was seen consoling the youngster after Royal Challengers Banglore's (RCB) victory against Mumbai. Kohli was seen giving a pep talk to a visibly distraught Kishan on the ground.
