Xtra Time Web Desk: Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Joffra Archer has been a revelation in his maiden season in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2019). The Barbados born English cricketer has so far taken 11 wickets in as many matches. Archer got rewarded for his good show with a maiden call for England for the upcoming five match ODI series against Pakistan. “Something I will cherish my whole life. I am glad that I got the opportunity,” said Archer ahead of his team’s clash against KKR at Eden Gardens on Thursday. Archer along with Ben Stokes will be heading home after tonight’s match. Talking about his performance in his first season of the cash-rich league, Archer said, “For me it’s been pretty okay. We haven’t won as many games as we would have liked. We have been competitive in all the games except one. The team has been in good space. It’s just that the results haven’t shown.” He added, “I don’t think it will affect the team very much as we have great depth in the squad. We have Oshane Thomas, Varun Aaron, Manan Vohra. We got so many good local players and a few great players waiting to get their chance.” “The chat in the dressing room has been to win every game. Obviously, you don’t come to cricket to lose. We don’t want to depend on any other team. We still want to finish the tournament on a high,” signed off Archer.
