India tour to Sri Lanka: Shikhar Dhawan led Indian team starts training in Colombo

Xtra Time Web Desk: Shikhar Dhawan led Indian team on Friday started training after completing their mandatory hard quarantine in Colombo. Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Dhawan hogged all the limelight during the training session. The former India captain is serving his maiden stint as the coach of the Indian team in the absence of regular coach Ravi Shastri who is now in England with the test squad.
The Indian team is currently touring the island nation to play a white ball series against Sri Lanka. The Indian team will play three ODIs and three T20Is against Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium beginning from July 13. Both Dravid and Dhawan were seen having a long chat at the start of the training session in Colombo. All the players went through a rigorous fitness drills at the R Premadasa stadium. The likes of Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Ishan Kishan was seen enjoying at the practice.
The visitors will also play an intra squad match among themselves ahead of the start of the white ball series.
