Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian team on Sunday began training for the upcoming third Test against England at Headingley. Indian captain Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul had a good batting session in the middle. The fast bowlers too including Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj sweated out at the nets.

The BCCI shared a few pictures of the training session on its social media platform twitter with a caption, "Turning the heat on at Headingley"

Focus was on spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. It will be interesting to see if the off spinner is preferred over Jadeja or not for the third test. The left arm spinner has not been very productive as far as wicket taking is concerned. Also part of the session was wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.

Kohli will be keen to win the Leeds Test and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the rubber. India have taken a 1-0 lead courtesy their brilliant win in the second test at Lord’s. The first Test had ended in a draw.

The third Test starts on Wednesday.
