Xtra Time Web Desk: India's stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah is battling a back spasm, as confirmed by pacer Prasidh Krishna during the post-day press conference on Day 2 of the final Test in Sydney. Bumrah left the field midway through the second session on January 4 and was later taken to St Vincent's Hospital for scans.

Prasidh stated, "Jasprit Bumrah has a back spasm. He went for scans, and the medical team is monitoring him. We’ll know more once the results are in."

The injury puts India in a precarious position as they aim to secure a series win and retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Losing Bumrah, a key bowler and a reliable lower-order batter, could severely impact India's chances, especially with the match poised to end on Day 3.
