Internet Desk : A late strike from Diego Costa denied Manchester United a win against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge .

United looked all set to take away the full points following a Jese Lingard strike . But the Blues got the equalizer through Diego Costa in the added time . Hesitance in the United defence allowed Costa to get past David de Gea and slot home an equalizer . The Blues maintained it’s unbeaten record under interim coach Guus Hiddink .

It was United who started the match with a positive intent ,dominating the opening 15 minutes .Anthony Martial had the best chance to give United the lead in the 18th minute, Thibaut Courtois pulling of a stunning save after the Frenchman had shot at goal from the edge of the box with the instep of his right foot.

The Blues slowly clawed back mid-way into the match . Diego Costa’s shot narrowly missed the target . Soon Oscar followed it up with a thundering shot which  went over from close range . The Blues had a strong penalty claim turned down in the final moments of the first  half, as Blind’s arm blocked a shot from John Terry that seemed destined for goal.  Blind took evasive action as the ball struck his arms from close  range . Much to the disappointment of the home support , the referee did not award a spot kick . Both sides went into the break with the score 0-0.

United started the second half much like they did the first, with Wayne Rooney testing Courtois again with a low drive. The Belgian was superb under the bar as he made  a one-handed save from Jesse Lingard’s curling effort. Hiddink made a master stroke by bringing in Eden Hazard in place of Oscar in the 53rd minute.

The game suddenly came to a standstill with a very nasty injury to Kurt Zouma. The Frenchman went up to clear a ball, but landed quite awkwardly, with his right knee going behing him. His teammates immediately signalled for him to be substituted, with signals from the medical staff that he faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. As Zouma was eventually taken off on a stretcher, Gary Cahill was sent on in his place.

Moments later Jesse Lingard scored to give the visitors a vital lead . Wayne Rooney laid off a Borthwick-Jackson cross to Jesse Lingard who showed a moment of brilliance . With  his back to the goal , he produced a moment of genius, turning away from Azpilicueta and finding a yard of space, before rifling an unstoppable strike into the top corner, giving Manchester United a vital 1-0 lead in the 61st minute.

Just as Chelsea were staring down the barrel of Guus Hiddink’s first defeat, up popped Diego Costa with a goal in the first minute of injury time. The Spaniard made a run towards the box as the ball bobbled towards him, but Borthwick-Jackson’s last ditch tackle could only move the ball a few yards away leaving De Gea stranded. Costa kept his calm and stoked the ball into an empty net from a tight angle to give Chelsea a valuable equalizer.

In another match Arsenal moved level on points with Tottenham in second-place as they scraped 2-0 past Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday . Goals from Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sealed it for the Gunners , thereby breaking  the shackles of four winless games .
Mesut Ozil netted the opener with a powerful finish, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain swiftly doubled the lead to score his first Premier League goal away from Emirates Stadium.
The victory took Arsene Wenger’s men level on points with Tottenham in second and five points clear of leaders Leicester City, whom the Gunners host in a crunch title clash next Sunday.
