Xtra Time Web Desk: Goals from Fede Valverde (5’),Sergio Ramos(63’) and Luka Modric (90’) saw Real Madrid win the first El Classico of the season against Barcelona at Camp Nou on Saturday. Zinedine Zidane’s boys put up an inspiring performance against Messi led Barcelona following the horrible weekend where they lost both their La Liga and Champions League fixtures.

Fede Valverde gave Real the dream start with a fifth-minute strike, before Ansu Fati became the youngest ever scorer in this fixture just three minutes later from close range. Real took the lead through their inspirational Sergio Ramos as he converted from a spot kick in the 63rd minute. Substitute Luka Modric rounded off a deserved victory in the final seconds of normal time with the calmest of finishes.

The win took Real Madrid to the third spot on points table with 10 points from 5 games, behind Real Sociedad and Villareal, both on 11 points each having played one game more. Ronald Coeman’s side remain on 10th spot with 7 points from 7 games.
