La Liga: Messi is perfectly fine, says Barcelona coach Quique Setien

XtraTime Web Desk: Good news for Barcelona fans as the club’s talismanic captain Lionel Messi is well on course for return against Mallorca in the La Liga on Sunday, June 14. The good news was shared by Barcelona coach Quique Setien. The gaffer is not at all worried about Messi’s physical condition.

The Barcelona captain has trained individually in recent days as a precaution after suffering a muscle cramp.

In an interview to Movistar, Setien said, “It’s not just Messi – other players haven’t trained because they’ve had niggles. It’s happened to lots of them.”
He added, “Leo has a cramp that’s not hugely significant. I think he’s perfectly fine and he won’t have any problems.”

“It’s the same for any other player. We’ll see how the league goes and what circumstances come up.”

“We have lots of games and a small squad,” said Setien.

The Barcelona coach has made it clear that he always want his best player on the pitch.

“I always want to have Messi on the pitch, of course,” said Setien.
