Kushal Das is innocent, says a report by AIFF's integrity officer against Ranjit Bajaj's claims

Xtra Time Web Desk : How much truth is there in Ranjit Bajaj's allegation ? The All India Football Federation's Integrity Officer submitted a confidential report seeking veracity, copy of which is now in the hands of Xtra Time! What's in this report?
Ranjit Bajaj had accused All India Football Federation secretary Kushal Das of physically abusing a female colleague, which Das himself and AIFF have already denied before sending a legal notice to Bajaj in reply to the allegations.
Javed Siraj, an integrity officer of the All India Football Federation, also a former CBI officer, proposed a report based on the allegations made by Ranjit Bajaj on Twitter.
Ranjit Bajaj mentioned two incidents in his tweet where a woman was physically abused. One was at the Taj Hotel in New Delhi on the day of the AFC Awards on November 26, 2015. The other was at a restaurant near the Chancery Hotel in Bangalore after the Indian Women's League final on February 14, 2020. And the Integrity Committee has submitted a report based on those allegations.
According to the report of the committee, an internal complaints committee of AIFF has been formed since 2016. And the officers of this committee, Shanta Gopinath (Manager), Jyotsna Gupta (EA), Indu Chowdhury (Senior Manager) and Cornell Mehta (AGS Admin), respectively, were interrogated.
Cornell Mehta has been working in the Head of Administration since 2011. And in the interrogation, he said, as per the claim of Ranjit Bajaj, he did not receive any complaint regarding November 26, 2015.
Indu Chowdhury, the senior manager of the tournament, did not want to comment on the tweets about the Indian Women's League final in 2020 when questioned by the federation. When asked about this, Sunanda Dhar, CEO of the league division, said that he was with the AIFF and Karnataka Football Association at dinner after the tournament and he did not see any such physical abuse. Shanta Gopinath, the then head of the Internal Complaints Committee, also said she had not received any such complaint.
The interrogation made it clear to Integrity Officer Javed Siraj that Ranjit Bajaj's allegations against AIFF Secretary Kushal Das were baseless and untrue.
In the report, Javed Siraj also mentioned that in 2019, the ethics committee had conducted an investigation on Ranjit Bajaj, where he made defamatory retweets against the federation. And in front of that committee at that time Bajaj apologized for his behaviour and promised not to repeat this mistake.
