Kuldeep also claimed the wicket of the in-form LSG captain KL Rahul, who departed after a brisk 39 off 22 balls. Kuldeep returned to the team following an injury setback and delivered a stellar player of the match performance. The troubles piled up for LSG as Deepak Hooda fell to Ishant Sharma. Youngster Ayush Badoni’s spirited fightback powered Lucknow Super Giants to a decent total of 167/7. He resurrected LSG after a lacklustre performance from the top order batters.

While chasing, DC’s Fraser-McGurk’s impressive knock of 55 runs, coupled with skipper Rishabh Pant’s 41, propelled DC to a commanding 6-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants. Despite an early setback with David Warner’s dismissal, the partnership between Prithvi Shaw and McGurk solidified Delhi’s position, leaving Lucknow with little chance to salvage the match. Pant’s arrival after Shaw’s departure further bolstered Delhi’s innings, and they departed the field with victory in sight. Hope and Stubbs then steered Delhi to victory.

Shaw failed to convert into a big one:

Prithvi Shaw’s innings of 32 runs showcased promise, but his dismissal to a careless shot deprived Delhi Capitals of a potentially anchoring innings. Shaw fell victim to a low-diving catch by Nicholas Pooran off Ravi Bishnoi’s bowling, having scored just 8 runs.
