Internet Desk: Indian skipper Virat Kohli will be facing the biggest test of his cricketing career when India will be travelling to South Africa in the next moth. The Indian fans are eagerly waiting to see how the team performs outside Indian soil as the India has been dominant in the nation.

Kohli has moved up three places in the test rankings and now has grabbed the second position after he registered his career best score of 243 runs against Sri Lanka. Kohli (893) who is the No. 1 in the limited overs format is behind Aussie Steve Smith (938 points) by only 45 points.

Ricky Ponting, the former Australian captain was the only batsman in the history of cricket to have been in the top spot in the three format of the game at the same time.

If Kohli can overtake Smith, he will become the first Indian and the second cricketer in the history of cricket to achieve his grand feat.

“Last time I took rest, it was difficult to handle. But my body is asking for it right now. The workload has been massive, I have been playing non-stop for the last 48 months, I need rest. My body has taken a toll in the last couple of years. Right now is the perfect time to rest before the tour of South Africa,” Kohli said.
