Kohli, Anushka hogs limelight as Indian cricketers hosted by Australian PM at his residence

Debasis Sen, Sydney: Indian cricket team along with their Australian counterparts, were hosted today by the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison at his residence in Kirribilli. Both captains Virat Kohli and Tim Paine were accompanied with their wives. The Australian Prime Minister and his wife greeted the players from both the countries as they entered the residence one after another.

Australian Prime Minister spent some lighter moments with Virat and his wife Anushka as they met him. The Indian captain was looking dapper in a in a white shirt and grey blazer while Anushka was in red dress. The Australian players were in their travelling T shirts. Tim Paine and his team headed straight to the Prime Minsiter’s House after their practice session at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Australian Prime Minister welcomed both captains on the stage and presented a memento to the two captains. Both Tim Paine and Virat Kohli was also called on to the stage to speak in front of the august gathering.

The cricketers enjoyed the scenic beauty of the place which looks over the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The cricketers were seen capturing the scenic beauty of the place. Indian all rounder Hardik Pandya was seen playing with Prime Minister’s puppy ‘Buddy’.

Later both the teams posed with Morrison during the official photo session. The captains Tim Paine and Virat Kohli also posed with the Australian Prime Minister.

India and Australia will meet at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) for the fourth and final Test of the fiercely-fought series. Having sealed a 2-1 lead after beating Australia by 137 runs in Melbourne earlier this week, Kohli’s men will be bidding to become the first Indian team to beat the hosts in a Test series at their own backyard.
