Internet Desk: Virat Kohli and co. is all set to have their long pending request heard by the BCCI. The Indian cricketers will now get Business Class tickets for their domestic travel to national camps or on their way home after the end of a series. The tickets are likely going to be upgraded from economy to business class.

According to sources, the Indian players including Captain Virat Kohli, took up the issue with BCCI on how they often suffer while travelling in economy class. It is learnt that the team management has brought to light the fact that players’ privacy and security is often breached by the co-passengers in the economy class. Fans tend to encroach upon the players’ space and bother them for selfies, autographs etc.

The BCCI acting president CK Khanna has already brought the matter in front of the COA. In a letter written to them Mr Khanna has requested the Committee of Administrators to look into the matter.

Earlier in September, the nation’s former World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev too questioned in favour of the cricketers regarding this matter. “Now that BCCI is making good money, it should have its own plane. It will save a lot of time and make life easier for Team India. The board can afford it. They should have done it five years ago,” Kapil Dev was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

“I would also love to see some cricketers buying their own aircrafts in the days to come. In the US, top golfers have their own planes. I don’t see any reason why our players can’t buy it as it will save them a lot of time. I also believe that if BCCI owns planes, the players will get enough rest between matches. I am sure BCCI can also afford the parking charges,” Dev had further added.
