Xtra Time Web Desk: After years of dating star India cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Athiya’s actor-father Suniel Shetty‘s Khandala farmhouse ‘Jahaan’ on Monday.
Around 100 guests were invited for the wedding ceremony which may include Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Former India captain MS Dhoni is also likely to attend along with Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjeev Goenka and Gautam Gambhir.
The bride looked resplendent in a pink lehenga, while the groom looked dapper in a beige sherwani. The newlyweds also posed for the photographers waiting outside the wedding venue post the ceremony.
The wedding rituals started around 4 pm in the presence of their family members and close friends. After the wedding rituals, by 6.30 pm the couple and their family members gave paparazzi the glimpse of their official wedding.
On Sunday night, the family of Athiya hosted a sangeet ceremony with a cocktail night which was attended by their family members and close friends. The couple danced to the tunes of “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” and “Sona kitna Sona hain”. Among the prominent names attending the sangeet ceremony were actor Arjun Kapoor and popular photographer Rohan Shrestha.
Both families have plans to throw a wedding bash post IPL 2023 which will be attended by Bollywood bigwigs and Indian cricketers.
Rahul and Athiya Shetty have been dating each other for last four years.
