Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India star batter KL Rahul has started training three days after getting married with long time girl-friend Athiya Shetty. Rahul is preparing for the upcoming test series against Australia which starts next month in Nagpur from February 9. The cricketer from Karnataka will join other members of test squad in Nagpur where a short camp will be held prior to the all-important test series.
Rahul took to the social media handle Instagram to post a small video of training. He was seen sweating it out in the gym. He did a bit of running on the treadmill, before switching to some weight training. Here is the video below:
Rahul, who is also the vice-captain of the Indian test team will look to get back to runs in the longer format. The 30-year-old had a series to forget in Bangladesh. He failed to score any half century in the two test matches.
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty recently got married in a private ceremony held at Khandala on January 23. The wedding ceremony was held at Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s bungalow in Khandala, Jahaan and was attended by close family friends and relatives.
