KKR’s Litton Das aggrieved with Bangladesh media, shares post on social media

Xtra Time Web Desk: Bangladesh star batter Litton Das, who was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad in the ongoing IPL 2023 season has made a scathing attack against a leading web portal of the country. In a facebook post, Litton has alleged the leading portal has published a news without checking the truth.

The web portal published the news that Litton had to return back home from IPL stint with KKR because he had to travel abroad for a vacation with his wife. However, the real reason which was shared from Kolkata Knight Riders franchise was Litton had to return back to Bangladesh because he had an urgent family medical emergency.

Litton played only one match for the Kolkata franchise. In the IPL 2023 game against Delhi Capitals, he scored only 4 runs and missed two simple stumpings. Das was brought by Kolkata franchise for his base price INR 50 lakhs. He is now in Ireland with the Bangladesh national team.

KKR named Caribbean cricketer Johnson Charlesas a replacement for Litton for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

Charles – a wicketkeeper-batter – has represented West Indies in 41 T20Is, scoring 971 runs and was a part of West Indies’ 2012 and 2016 ICC World Twenty20-winning squads. Additionally, he has played 224 T20s and has over 5600 runs against his name.
