Much in line with top football clubs of  the world , Kolkata  football giants  Kingfisher East Bengal club is all set to start their long pending residential academy in the  Saltlake Sector –V from December 05 .A three storied building has been hired for this purpose where work is going on in full swing for  the remaining kitchen and dinning hall . It will be a full fledged residential  academy  with a staying arrangement  for 30 footballers . The building  will have  6 rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor respectively . It will also have an office, and guest rooms . Academy director Ranjan Chowdhury,  is now in Punjab to search for new talent. Junior team coach Sujit Chakraborty too will be travelling  to North Bengal in search of footballers .It is decided that the selected footballers will undergo a trial from from December 05 at the CA  ground. From there as many as 30 footballers will be selected finally for the academy.10 footballers will be on a standby who will regularly come from their residence .If any footballers  performance is dropping then one from the stand bye list will replace him.Teachers will be appointed too to look after their academics . The club officials can hope to see promising footballers  from the academy going on to make the senior team .
