Killer Jeans replaces MPL as new kit sponsor of Indian Cricket Team

Xtra Time Web Desk: Killer Jeans will be the new kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team. Killer Jeans replaced current kit sponsor Mobile Premier League (MPL) who pulled out before their contract ended. The Indian cricketers will sport the new brand on their jerseys as they take on Sri Lanka in the first T20I at the Wankhede stadium on Tuesday.

MPL had a contract with the BCCI till December 31, 2023, but the mobile gaming company decided to pull out of the deal early. Though the BCCI requested them to extend their contract till 31st March, 2023, they did not comply. Now, the Killer Jeans brand will officially be their kit sponsor till the end of this year i.e until 31st December 2023.

The Indian cricket team will wear the new jersey in the upcoming T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka starting with the first T20I at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on January 3.
