Kane Williamson visits the oldest cricket club in UK the day after winning the WTC title

Xtra Time Web Desk: New Zealand test captain Kane Williamson on Thursday visited the Hambledon Cricket Club, the day after he led his country to the ICC World Test Championship title defeating India by 8 wickets at the Ageas Bowl. Hambledon Cricket Club happens to the oldest cricket club in United Kingdom. It was founded in 1765, even before the Marylebone Cricket Club which was founded in 1787. Williamson took the ICC Test mace with him for the official captain’s photograph.

The Hambledon Club, which is just 15 miles from the Hampshire Bowl was the most important cricket club in UK. Williamson, who set his hand on ICC Test Mace for the first time in his country’s cricket history, took a picture at the ground location of the Hamburg Don Club.
