Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a huge boost for Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 2023 season, England fast bowler Jofra Archer will be available for the full season. Jofra’s availability will be a huge relief for the five-time champions as Jasprit Bumrah is more or less certain to miss the upcoming season.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, officials of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the IPL have confirmed that Archer will be available for the full season. But his workload management will have to be monitored by ECB and Mumbai Indians.

Archer is currently part of England’s white ball squad and taking part in the series against Bangladesh. He played in the first ODI against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Wednesday when he finished with two for 37 in 10 overs.

Jos Buttler and his team are in Bangladesh for three ODIs and three T20Is, which will run till March 14 and after that Archer could travel to India. He is expected to be available for the five-time champions and lead their attack from their first game, against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2.

Mumbai Indians brought Jofra Archer for a whopping sum of INR 8 crore in the 2022 mega auction despite knowing the Barbados-born English pacer will not be available for the season.

Archer missed out on competitive cricket for close to 18 months -- the second half of 2021 and almost full year of 2022.

Jofra Archer likely to be available for Mumbai Indians for full IPL 2023 season
