Jeje Lalpekhlua gets trial offer from USA 2nd Division Team Sacrameto Republic FC

Jeje-LalpekhluaKolkata , December 15 : Chennaiyin FC striker  Jeje Lalpekhlua  could soon follow the footsteps of Sunil Chetri , Romeo Fernandes , Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and Subrata Pal . According to sources, Jeje Lalpekhlua, who has hogged the limelight for the Machans with his goalscoring abilities in the Indian Super League 2015, has got a trial offer from USA 2nd Division Football club that plays in the USL-I.

Jeje, who hails from Mizoram is a regular member of  the national team .Jeje has scored 6 goals so far in ISL and can increase his tally as Chennaiyin FC is due to play Atletico de Kolkata for semi final second leg  on Wednesday at Salt Lake Stadium . According to reports , National coach Stephen Constantine  has arranged the trial during a recent visit to  the Sacrameto Republic FC .Constantine feels that Jeje being young and talented, should get the much needed experience by playing abroad.

Sacramento Republic FC is a newly formed football club playing its second season in the United Soccer League, which is the second division league in the USA Soccer League hierarchy. Notably, there are no promotions or relegations in the USA Soccer Leagues as yet.

Jeje, however has not yet decided about appearing for the trial and is negotiating with Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal to play in the upcoming I-League 2016 season.
