“It will be nice to take his wicket”- Tim Southee on facing off against Virat Kohli

Xtra Time Web Desk: New Zealand pacer Tim Southee has revealed that the wicket of Indian captain Virat Kohli would be a big one for him in the final of the World Test Championship between India and New Zealand, starting June 18th in Southampton.  On his way to England for the upcoming 2-match Test series and ICC WTC Final, Southee answered a question from a fan: “Are you going to take Virat Kohli’s wicket, buddy?”

 “it will be nice [to take his wicket],” Southee replied. Tim Southee has dismissed Virat 10 times in international cricket, the first bowler to achieve the landmark. He achieved the feat in February 2020 during India’s tour of New Zealand. Southee has taken 39 wickets in 8 matches against India in Test cricket, while on the other hand, he has scalped 302 wickets in 77 Test matches for the Kiwis overall.
