XtraTime Web Desk: All the Indian Super League teams are facing a huge financial crisis ahead of ISL 7 after the COVID-19 outbreak shook the world. The news came in public after Kerala Blasters defender Sandesh Jhingan got linked with another Indian Super League side Odisha FC. As per sources it is learnt that five ISL franchises Hyderabad FC, Chennaiyin FC, Kerala Blasters, FC Goa and Odisha FC has asked their footballers to sign a new contract with forty percent pay cut ahead of the new season.

Though Sandesh is with Kerala Blasters since 2014 but, he is not happy with the amount which Kerala Blasters management is offering him for 2020-21 season and knowing that Odisha has given Jhingan a better offer. If the sources are to be believed, teams like Hyderabad FC, Chennaiyin FC, Kerala Blasters are yet to clear the dues of two or three months of their players. After COVID-19 hit the globe earlier this year the financial crisis of the clubs have worsened a lot. They are facing a lot of problems for setting the team ahead of the new season.
