XtraTime Web Desk: Former India captain and one of the co- owners of reigning ISL champions ATK, Sourav Ganguly do not feature in the list of Board members of the new entity ATK-Mohun Bagan Private Limited. The new company was incorporated with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on Wednesday.
There will be five directors in the newly formed company. They are ATK co-owner Utsav Parekh, Mohun Bagan secretary Srinjoy Bose, finance secretary Debashis Dutta, Gautam Ray and Sanjeev Mehra.
The reigning ISL and I League champions ATK and Mohun Bagan decided to come together and form a single entity at the start of this year. They will be playing in the ISL 2020-21 seasons as a single team.
The new entity was supposed to officially start from June 01 but due to the nationwide lockdown owing to the coronavirus pandemic, it has been delayed. An official statement from the new entity will be out soon once the situation improves. There has been lot of speculations with regard to the logo and jersey of the newly formed club.
The new club will have the opportunity to play in the AFC group stages directly courtesy Mohun Bagan winning the I League. The Mariners won the I League title for the second time last season while ATK became the champions of ISL for a record third time beating Chennaiyin FC in the final.
