Xtra Time Web Desk: SC East Bengal Coach Jose Manuel Diaz on Friday said he is not focussing on Roy Krishna and Hugo Boumous but the entire ATK Mohun Bagan team. Both Roy Krishna and Hugo Boumous is being seen as a threat for Red and Golds in Saturday’s first Kolkata derby in ISL 2021-22 at Tilak Maidan in Vasco.
“We are playing against ATKMB rather than only against Krishna and Hugo. Yes, they are good players who can score goals but they need the whole squad to help them. So we’re making plans to stop the whole team instead of only concentrating on Hugo and Krishna,” said Jose Manuel Diaz during the pre-match press conference on Friday.
On being asked about the strategy SC East Bengal is likely to adopt against the ATK Mohun Bagan duo, Manuel Diaz said, “Zonal marking or man-to-man marking of Roy Krishna and Hugo Boumous? Will depend on the situation of the match area and where the ball is. If the ball is close to our box, we’ll mark man-to-man.”
