Xtra Time Web Desk : It was another utterly disappointing night of football for SC East Bengal as they got a 4-0 thrashing from a rampant Hyderabad FC on Monday in the Indian Super League.

The clash between the table toppers Hyderabad and and bottom placed SC East Bengal was almost a one sided affair as Manolo Marquez’s were on the front foot from minute one. And the man who was at the forefront of all of Hyderabad’s attacks was veteran hat-trick hero Bartholomew Ogbeche. The Nigerian scored his and the team’s first goal of the night on the 21 minute mark as he headed past Red and Gold’s shot stopper Arindam Bhattacharya from a brilliant corner Souvik Chakraborty corner. And since then it was a one way traffic all through till the end.

The 37 year year old scored then doubled his team’s lead at the 44th minute through a counter attack before Aniket Jadhav tripled Hyderabad’s lead at the 45+2 minute mark to end the first half at 3-0 in favour of Manolo’s team.

SC East Bengal after creating a good chance in the first half, to ultimately get saved by Laxmikant Kattimani, came all guns blazing to reduce Hyderabad’s lead with attacking substitutions in Hira Mondal and Marcelo. But Ogbeche’s team kept on piling the pressure over Mario Rivera’s team which resulted in the 4th goal for Hyderabad and a fabulous hat-trick for Barholomeu Ogbeche in the 74th minute of the match.

The Torchbearers however after that kept on trying to get a consolation goal and ultimately came close to achieving it as they won a penalty on the 84 minute mark. But it was Kattimani, who came out as the winner as he saved Franjo Prce’s penalty to seal a 4-0 win for his team.
