Xtra Time Web Desk : Hyderabad FC on Saturday clinched a brilliant 3-1 win over ATK Mohun Bagan in the first leg of the second semi final, which was indeed a clash of titans.
After initially faltering behind inside the first 20 minutes of the first half, courtesy of a Roy Krishna goal on the 18th minute, Manolo Marquez’s team completed a superb comeback through Bartholomew Ogbeche being at the helm of it.
The star Hyderabad striker scored for his side in the added time of the first half, precisely on the 45+3 minute mark, to give his team the much needed equaliser.
And since then there was no looking back as Marquez’s team in the second half played absolutely brilliant and clinical football to take the lead on the 58th minute through Yasir as they piled up pressure on the Mariners’ to score their third on the 64 minute mark, courtesy of Siverio.
The Green and Maroon on the other hand, were defensively vulnerable and couldn’t capitalize upon their opportunities which later came them to bite.
And with this win, Hyderabad FC would now be the firm favourites to play the final of this season’s Indian Super League with a 2 goal advantage, although Juan Ferrando’s side could pose a serious threat to any side on their given day.
However, the 2nd leg of the 2nd semi final would surely be an intriguing clash for the fans.
