Xtra Time Web Desk: ATK Mohun Bagan Head Coach Antonio Lopez Habas on Tuesday dedicated the derby win against SC East Bengal to one of the legends of Mohun Bagan, late Chuni Goswami. The Green and Maroon brigade is bubbling in confidence following the back-to-back to wins against Kerala Blasters and SC East Bengal in the opening two matches of ISL 2021-22 season.

“It is very important to win every possible match and that’s where the confidence comes in, so it’s very important for the team to be confident enough and win every match and collect those valuable 3 points,” said Habas in his pre match press conference.  

Talking about meeting the defending champions Mumbai City FC , Habas said, “Mumbai City FC a very strong team. This time they have a new coach along with some new players. So, the basic things are now changed, the team is trying to change in every possible position to play a better football and make a difference.”

Talking about the brilliant start to the ISL 2021-22 season, Habas said, “Every team wants to improve and hold that level of playing, so they have to continue their quality of playing, try to deliver the best possible game they can play”.

The Spanish coach also hinted he is not in favour of making too many changes to the playing XI against Mumbai FC from the one that played in the derby

“I don’t like making much changes to the winning squad.”

Habas is not concerned with the missed opportunities. The key for him is to play quality football and winning each match.

 “We failed to score some possible chances, but it’s quite natural and the main part is winning the game with good quality football and I’m satisfied with it” signed off Habas.
