XtraTime Web Desk: Great news for all the Mohun Bagan fans as young central midfielder Sheikh Sahil has decided to extend his contract with ATK-Mohun Bagan for three more seasons. It was confirmed by ATK- Mohun Bagan’s official twitter handle on Saturday. The post read,” Sheikh Sahil signs with the club and will represent ATK Mohun Bagan FC in the ISL for the next three years.”

Speaking about lengthening his tenure with the newfound entity, he remarked, “It is an honour to be given the opportunity to represent my boyhood club and Kolkata in India’s top football competition. I am very excited to play for ATK Mohun Bagan.”

Young Sahil played brilliant football for Mohun Bagan last season and he held a multiple year contract as well. Now this year the deal was extended for three years by the new management of the football team which will now compete with the brand name ATK Mohun Bagan FC.

The young sensation started his journey at the Mohun Bagan Academy as an U-16 player. Last year Bagan head coach Kibu Vicuna brought him in the senior team ahead of the Calcutta Football League 2019. He performed really well there and became a regular part of the club's victorious I-League campaign. The central midfielder earned 16 caps in the league which included 13 starts.
