XtraTime Web Desk: Mumbai City FC failed to impress their fans as they lost to Jamshedpur FC in their opening match of ISL 2018-19. Jamshedpur won 2-0 as Mario Arques and Morgado scored for them.
Jamshedpur scored in the 27th minute as Mario Arques headed the ball on the right side after getting the cross from that very wing.
Mumbai have had their chances although most of them were because of the defensive lapses on the part of Jamshedpur defence. The game was very much open and very much alive in the first half.
Super sub Margado doubled Jamshedpur’s lead in the final moments of the game. In the very final minute of the game and Mumbai push forward to find that elusive equaliser but leave big gap behind in that process. A defence-splitting pass finds Morgado on the right wing and the debutant fires in a powerful drive that brushes past the goalkeeper’s arm and into the net.
