Narine has been regularly opening for KKR in this season. After two time champion ex captain Gautam Gambhir join as mentor of the side. His batting has impressed cricket enthusiasts in multiple matches. Narine can quickly score runs at the beginning of the innings. Before the match against Delhi Capitals, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer revealed this secret! He chuckled, "Narine's role at the start of the innings is crucial for us. His batting has no relation to the team's plans. But Narine doesn't even attend the batting meetings."

Recently, Narine reached the milestone of 500 runs in T20 matches. Since 2012, he has been playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. He is one of the team's most important and experienced cricketers.
