Shashank's whirlwind innings of 68 not out came off just 28 deliveries, embellished with two fours and an astonishing eight sixes. Despite the onslaught, Sunil Narine maintained his economical spell, conceding only 24 runs while picking up a crucial wicket. The victory propels PBKS to eighth place in the IPL points table.

With the conditions favouring batting, PBKS unleashed a barrage of 24 sixes during their chase, setting a new record for the most maximums in an IPL innings. The match witnessed a total of 42 sixes, establishing a new record for the most sixes in a men's T20 match.
In pursuit of 262 runs, Bairstow kickstarted his innings with a mistimed drive off Dushmantha Chameera in the opening over. Prabhsimran Singh, known for his impact, showcased his prowess with the bat by dispatching Harshit Rana for two consecutive sixes in the second over. Prabhsimran continued his onslaught with two fours and two sixes off Chameera in the following over, reaching his fifty in just 18 balls with a swept six.

The introduction of Anukul Roy and Sunil Narine failed to stem the flow of boundaries as Prabhsimran accelerated, eventually reaching 93/1 at the end of the Power-play. Bairstow contributed with three fours and two sixes against Anukul Roy, culminating in his century off 45 balls against Harshit Rana. Shashank then joined the onslaught, smashing three sixes off Chameera before reaching his fifty with two more maximums and a four off Harshit. The duo continued to dominate, guiding PBKS to a comprehensive victory with eight balls to spare, sealing a memorable chase in IPL history.
