Sameer credited his performance to the valuable advice which he got from Dhoni.

Sameer came out to bat in the death overs and was up against one of the finest bowlers in the shortest format, Rashid Khan. Nevertheless, he managed to hit two maximums off the three deliveries from the leg-spinner’s over. Won the battle against the experienced bowler.

Recalling Dhoni's invaluable advice, Rizvi emphasized the importance of playing his natural game while managing nerves in high-pressure situations. He said, "MSD has told me to play the way I do telling me that the game is the same, the skill is the same the skill is the same, but the mindset is different."

The uncapped Rizvi fetched a whopping amount of 8.4 crores at the recently concluded auction and coincidentally it was GT who was caught in a bidding war with five-time title winners.
