Buttler's third IPL century in a run chase marked a league record, underlining his prowess in pressure situations. Moreover, it was his eighth T20 century during successful chases, a feat shared with Babar Azam.

However, the true measure of Buttler's greatness transcended statistics and found expression in the respect and admiration he received at the iconic Eden Gardens, the home ground of the opposition. Shah Rukh's graceful acknowledgment of Buttler's brilliance was evident as he applauded him upon hitting the winning runs. Following the match's conclusion, Khan went a step further by embracing not only the KKR players but also the victorious RR squad, exemplifying the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that transcends the boundaries of competition.

When Shah Rukh noticed Buttler seated on the ground, he approached him. Despite being the Player of the Match, Buttler stood up to greet Shah Rukh. However, Shah Rukh, in a true display of gentlemanly behaviour, insisted that Buttler remain seated before embracing him.

During the crucial last three overs of the match, Buttler's bat contributed significantly, accounting for 40 of RR's remaining 46 runs, showcasing his invaluable contribution to the team's victory. Remarkably, he achieved all this while battling a leg injury, adding to the remarkable nature of his performance.

Buttler, despite struggling to walk towards the end, persevered till the last moment. "The real key today was to keep believing," he emphasized. "I was facing some rhythm issues. It can get frustrating, and doubts can creep in. But I remind myself it's okay, keep pushing, and eventually, rhythm will return. The key is to remain calm." Reflecting on the unpredictability of the IPL, he added, "The IPL has witnessed numerous instances of unexpected turnarounds."
