The situation went out of the control as there were stampede outside the final venue. The reason it is believed for the chaos was because there was no official announcement regarding the offline tickets.

The ticket counters were opened on May 25 from 11 am to 6 pm. Persons who booked online tickets also queued outside the box office counters to collect the hard copy of the tickets. Hundreds of people gathered outside the venue to get their tickets, which led to the local police intervention.

For the IPL PlayOffs BCCI handles the tickets and not the franchise. So, in this case BCCI should also take responsibility for the mismanagement.

As per the official notice, tickets cannot be collected physically on Match days, which is May 26, as Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians play the Qualifier 2. The Box Office will be open again on May 27 for the people to collect the tickets physically. The stadium’s capacity is more than one lakh, and there is a high possibility of a similar scene happening on Saturday as well.
