The star Indian batter scored a scintillating hundred (129 off 60 balls) to power Gujarat Titans to 233/3 in 20 overs in the IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians. It was the third hundred in the ongoing IPL season for Gill. His previous two tons came against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Gill currently has 851 runs in in the IPL 2023. Only Virat Kohli (973, RCB, 2016) and Jos Buttler (863, RR, 2022) have scored more runs than him in a single season.
