Xtra Time Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings’ CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed on Sunday, 4th September that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be the captain of CSK for the upcoming IPL 2023.
Last year Ravindra Jadeja was appointed as the captain of CSK but he did not succeed. Hence, MS Dhoni was brought back as the captain in the middle of the tournament.
Under Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s captaincy, the team won 4 IPL titles, became 5 times runners up and qualified once in the playoffs. Dhoni has been leading CSK since 2008. He is known as one of the most successful captains in the history of IPL.
