Xtra Time Web Desk: Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings became the second team after Gujarat Titans to seal a place in IPL 2023 Play Offs. The Super Kings comprehensively beat Delhi Capitals by 77 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday.  The win sees CSK ending the group league stages on 17 points from 14 games.

For CSK Opener Devon Conway smashed a brilliant 87 runs off only 51 balls while Ruturaj Gaikwad notched up 79 runs off 50 deliveries to post 223 for 3 against Delhi Capitals in the final league game. Conway’s innings comprised of 11 fours and three sixes while Gaikwad hit seven sixes apart from three boundaries as they added 141 for the opening stand. Khaleel Ahmed, Anrich Nortje and Chetan Sakariya took one wicket each.

Chasing 224 runs to Delhi Capitals 146/9 in 20 overs. DC skipper David Warner played a lone handle, scoring 86 runs off 58 balls. The Aussie opener his 7 boundaries and 5 sixes before getting caught by Ruturaj Gaikwad off the bowling of Matheesa Pathirana. DC ended their IPL 2023 campaign with 10 points from 14 games.
