IPL 2023: CSK’s Ajinkya Rahane hit 91 metre six, makes a hole in the roof of Chinnaswamy Stadium

Xtra Time Web Desk: Ajinkya Rahane has been in incredible form with the bat for Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. On Monday night the batter from Mumbai smashed a 20 ball 37 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. During the knock, he hit a monstrous six, 91 metres long against local boy Vyshak Vijay Kumar. In fact, the six hit the asbestos roof of Chinnaswamy stadium and made a hole in it.

Rahane’s knock was studded with three fours and two sixes. The right-hand batter’s innings was eventually cut short when he was dismissed with CSK on 90 runs. Despite his dismissal, CSK managed to put up a competitive total on the board, thanks in large part to Rahane’s contribution.

The Team India batter has scores of 61(27) vs MI, 31(19) vs RR and 37(20) vs RCB. Ever since he was promoted at No 3 by CSK captain MS Dhoni, Rahane has not looked back.
