Xtra Time Web Desk: Cameron Green smashed the fastest hundred (103 off 47) of the IPL 2023 season to power Mumbai Indians to 8 wickets win over Sunrisers Hyderabad with 12 balls remaining at the Wankhede stadium on Sunday.

The five-time champions managed to reach the IPL 2023 Playoffs as Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets at M Chinnaswamy stadium, thanks to a super effort from Shubman Gill, who scored a scintillating hundred (104 off 52 balls). Virat Kohli too scored back-to-back hundreds (100 off 63 balls) but had to be content being on the losing side.

At the Wankhede stadium, the hosts made light work of a 200 chase. MI captain Rohit Sharma scored a fifty (56 off 37) at the top but it was Cameron Green’s blitzkrieg that helped Mumbai successfully chase the daunting total.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had very little to write home about. It has been a forgetful season for the Orange army. The bowlers didn’t hit their straps and the fielders dropped catches. It was a sad end to the innings. Skipper Rohit Sharma also managed ot score a half century and Suryakumar Yadav got some decent hits at the end of the chase.
