Xtra Time Web Desk: Last years finalists Rajasthan Royals kick-started their IPL 2023 campaign with an emphatic 72-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad on Sunday. Batting first Royals posted a mammoth total of 203/5, thanks to half-centuries from Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Sanju Samson.

In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a horrendous start, losing two wickets in the very first over, with Trent Boult picking up both the wickets. IPL debutant Harry Brook and Mayank Agarwal tried to steady the ship, but the Sunrisers kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Eventually, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult ran through the SRH batting line-up, with Chahal finishing with figures of 3/18 and Boult picking up 4/26, as SRH were bowled out for 131 in 18.2 overs.
