Xtra Time Web Desk : As Chennai Super Kings gear up for their Indian Premier League opener against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday, the world of cricket seems excited enough for the high voltage match, especially with MS Dhoni handing over the franchise's leadership duties to star all rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

But the fact which is unknown to many is that the newly appointed skipper of CSK is on the verge of setting up a new record which has never been achieved by any cricketer before.

The 32 year old Jadeja, who would be stepping on to the field against the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Sunil Narine, will captain his side for the first time in 277 T20 games. It is officially the longest number of games a player had to wait before his T20 captaincy debut.

Thus overall, the opening clash between the two giants of IPL is expected to be a brilliant one.
