Xtra Time Web Desk : Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday will clash against five time champions Mumbai Indians in the 56th match of the Indian Premier League at the DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.
Kolkata Knight Riders are currently placed at ninth in the points table with four wins out of 11 games they have played so far, while Mumbai Indians are ranked tenth, with just two wins out of the 10 matches they have played so far.
It has been a tough ride for both the above franchises in this season’s IPL, with both of them sitting at the bottom of the table, especially with the hype and buzz that these teams always have by their side.
While, Mumbai Indians are officially out of the playoffs race, this season, Shreyas Iyer’s KKR still have a glimmer of hope for making it to the knockouts, if they win their last three encounters including this one, although the chances of which looks less, considering their current form.
