Xtra Time Web Desk : Sunil Narine on Tuesday became the first ever overseas cricketer to play 150 matches in the Indian Premier League for the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise.

The 33 year old West Indian, who has been a loyal Knight for quite some time now, is playing in his 10th season for the Kolkata Knight Riders has been a match winner for them in every aspect, be it with the bat or the ball.

The skillful off spinner, also opened up on this special occasion and said, “I will probably have to say Virender Sehwag. I always found it tough because he was a guy who always kept the game going no matter what situation the team was in, he kept batting the way he did.”

So, on this note, here are 3 such loyal overseas cricketers who have played for one IPL franchise throughout their careers :

Kieron Pollard : Kieron Pollard has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians’ (MI) success throughout the years. He began playing for Nita Ambani’s franchise in 2009 and has remained with them ever since. Various auctions passed by, but both parties stayed committed to one another, and it’s safe to say that they’ve been a winning combination thus far.

Lasith Malinga : Lasith Malinga, a pivotal piece in the Mumbai Indians’ famous IPL history, tops our list of overseas players, as he, too, has only played for one franchise. The Sri Lankan legend is known for his toe-crunching yorkers, as well as being a useful customer with the new ball and in the death overs.

Shaun Marsh : Shaun Marsh, a former Orange Cap winner, spent more than a decade with Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). After they severed their 10-year relationship with the cricketer, no other franchise in the IPL signed him.
