Xtra Time Web Desk : Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday sealed a thumping 61 run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at Pune Cricket Stadium in what was the first match of the tournament for both the franchises.

Being put into bat first, the Royals scored a humongous 210 runs in their quota of 20 overs courtesy of superb performances by the top 4 batters including that of a brilliant and fiery innings of 55 by the captain Sanju Samson, with the big hitting Shimron Hetmyer giving off the finishing touch with a swashbuckling 32.

Coming in to bowl, it was Royals all over again as pacers in Prasidh Krishna and Trent Boult started off the innings with a fiery opening spell which saw the Sunrisers score just 14 off their first six overs and that too for the loss of 3 wickets.

Although Aiden Markram scored a 57* off 41 balls alongside a quick fire innings of 40 by Washington Sundar, but it was not enough for the Hyderabad franchise to clinch a win as veteran spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on his RR debut took three wickets in his spell to seal the match for his team.

Apart from the above, Chahal on Tuesday also became the fourth Indian to take 250 wickets in T20 cricket.
