IPL 2021: Why did Gavaskar give this 'cheeky' advice to Delhi Capitals captain Pant
Xtra Time Web Desk: Delhi Capitals made a bold decision before the start of IPL season 14 as they named Rishav Pant, the young dynamic India wicketkeeper batsman as their captain in place of their regular captain Shreyas Iyer who dislocated his left shoulder while fielding against England.
Delhi Capitals started off the IPL 2021 season on a winning note against Dhoni led Chennai super Kings. Before the start of the match Indian cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar gave some 'cheeky' advice to DC captain Rishav Pant .
In an interview Gavaskar expressed his views ' When Pant goes out for toss I want him not to allow Dhoni to place his hand over his shoulder. This sometimes may indirectly send a message that see junior you are playing against an experienced campaigner. Before any important match it is a thing that Pant has to keep in his mind. I know that character that Pant possess he won't allow any such situation. My respect is there for him.'
