IPL 2021 Phase 2: Defending champions Mumbai Indians leave for UAE; to begin camp in Abu Dhabi

Xtra Time Web Desk: Defending champions Mumbai Indians on Friday left for UAE for the upcoming IPL 2021 Phase 2 starting next month. The Paltan will have a one month preparatory camp in Abu Dhabi. The first group consisted mostly of Indian players. The players on reaching UAE will have to undergo mandatory quarantine.

The Mumbai Indians players were preparing at the Jio Stadium inside Reliance Corporate Park, Ghansoli. With most of the Indian and foreign cricketers busy with international commitments, the group included most of the domestic players. There were special facilities and setup available for the cricketers, keeping in mind the monsoon season in Mumbai. 

Rohit Sharma led MI were at the fourth spot on the points table before the tournament got suspended. The Paltan will resume their campaign in IPL 2021 against CSK on September 19.
