Subhabrata Mukherjee :- Wankhede stadium,Mumbai has most of the times produced high scoring thrillers. On Thursday it was no different in a match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals. Virat’s men thumped Sanju’s men by 10 wickets to register a convincing win in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021).

Rajasthan batted first on Wankhede wicket which seemed bery good track for batting. Rajasthan started poorly as both openers Buttler (8) and Vohra (7) went back to pavillion early. Miller (0) and Sanju (21) too departed early . Shibam Dube (46) alongwith Riyan Parag (25) steadied their innings. Rahul Tewatia played a quick hand of 40 runs from just 23 balls to take Rajasthan score to 178 runs.

Chasing a target of 179 runs to win Banglore cruised to victory with 21 balls to spare. Opening duo of Padikkal and Virat made batting look so easy that we thought they were playing on a different strip all together. Young left hander Padikkal scored a fine century as he remained not out on 101 from just 52 balls. Captain Kohli played an anchor role as he remained not out on 72 runs from just 47 runs to ensure a thumping win for Bangalore.
